I practise Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, tuina (Chinese remedial massage) and Chinese herbal medicine at the London Acupuncture Clinic (57a Wimpole Street, London, W1G 8YP), Stillpoint (The Stoneyard, Old Orchard, Bath, BA1 5AX), and the Frome Natural Health Clinic (15 North Parade, Frome BA11 1AU).
After completing an MA in English and Italian literature at Trinity College, Cambridge University, I went on to train in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese massage in both the UK and China. With over 13 years clinical experience, I am skilled in the treatment of male and female infertility, gynaecological problems, insomnia, gastrointestinal complaints and paediatric acupuncture. I am also the editor of The Journal of Chinese Medicine, the foremost international English language journal dealing with all aspects of Chinese Medicine, and chair the Editorial Committee of the British Acupuncture Council. In 2004 I founded the charity World Medicine (www.worldmedicine.org.uk), which facilitates acupuncturists and other CAM practitioners travelling around the world to where their skills are desperately needed. I have lectured on acupuncture and Chinese medicine at various colleges, and I am an enthusiastic practitioner of the Chinese martial arts, qigong and meditation.
